Choosing the right one…
Most importantly, children’s mattresses and sheets must be the correct size. It can be tempting to be influenced solely by price; after all, they all look similar from the outside don’t they?
Here at Scallywag Kids, we have worked hard with members of the National Bed Federation to create our own brands. A Scallywag mattress not only gives you peace of mind that your child has a premium mattress with the correct fit, but furthermore you can be assured that all of our mattresses comply with British regulations on safety, cleanliness of fillings and trade descriptions.
Safety
Because safety must always come first, mattresses should meet the additional safety standards applicable to beds with a sleeping surface of 600mm or more. Therefore we only offer mattresses against products that comply with the latest standards (currently EN 747-1:2012+A1:2015)
Ease of Handling
Mattresses arrive vacuum packed and rolled to allow easier transportation and handling. Please allow up to 24 hours laid flat after opening, to allow the mattress to spring back to its original size.
Fitted Sheets and Waterproof Mattress Protectors:
We are all familiar with bed wrigglers and the extra chore of re-positioning fitted sheets every morning. Our selection of bespoke fitted sheets are designed to tick that particular job off your daily list. In addition to our sheets being manufactured in the UK from 100% cotton, they are designed to fit like a glove. The original design prevents rucking and so aids an even more comfortable night’s sleep.
